Chetan Makam serves as the vice president of global services for Terumo BCT, a nearly $1 billion, mission-driven biomedical company focused on unlocking the potential of blood and cell-based therapies. The innovative medical device company strives to advance patient care, broaden treatment options and improve patient outcomes through its technologies within the sectors of blood banking, transfusion medicine and regenerative medicine. As a key member of our commercial executive leadership team, Makam leads a globally integrated service team that currently serves as a key market differentiator in 130 different countries. He and his global team are focused on improving the overall customer experience through more effective interactions. In addition to establishing our services business, he continues to shape process excellence programs and service offerings for some of our largest therapeutics, blood center and cell therapy customers. Prior to joining Terumo BCT, he established P2P Advisors, a consulting practice advising healthcare startups in diagnostics and medical technology in Asia. Makam also had an 11-year career with Haemonetics where he established its subsidiary in India and served in various leadership roles, including business services, marketing, process excellence and customer solutions implementation.
