John Higgs

John is an IT industry and sales professional veteran.  Although, early in his career he worked as a geologist on exploration and production oil rigs in the South China Sea.  This was, amazingly, a great foundation for RealWear…as he has first-hand experience with hazardous environments and hard hats.  His career in sales was thrust upon him when he fell off his motorbike and broke his shoulder the day before he was supposed to fly off for a 2 year assignment on a rig in the Japan Sea.

Over the last three decades he has lived and worked in the Asia Pacific region building “start-ups” from scratch including Cray in Japan and Cabletron, Cisco and Riverbed.

John is British, grew up in England and earned a BSc Hons Degree in Geology from the University of Wales before heading off to Asia for the first time and getting his lucky break.
